A huge thanks to the future design company ENSO for bringing us this opportunity.

The Impact Challenge was created to fund social innovators and to engage the public in their support. In late 2016, asked Canadian nonprofits how they would use innovation to make a better world. From hundreds of ideas submitted, 10 finalists were selected. Canadians were invited to vote for the project with the greatest impact potential. Enso was engaged to develop the creative campaign to galvanize Canadians to join the shared mission and take action by voting for the ideas they felt would have the greatest impact.

Pholio's Creative Director Jonah Hall was asked to create an animated film that best captured the specific efforts being made by real contestants. We couldn't be happier with how it came out, and the real challenge was doing it in French as well!


Normally creating a spot in another language is not that big a deal, but in the case of Google Impact Challenge it was literally twice the heavy lifting. With such "type driven" visuals, our team had to design and execute in both languages simultaneously.
